Roosters coach Trent Robinson has once again addressed the contract future of Sam Walker with the halfback yet to commit to the club.
Walker could be come available to rival clubs by November 1 as the Roosters continue to negotiate with the halfback.
Sydney Morning Herald and 9news reporter Michael Chammas revealed on Nine’s 100% Footy on Monday that chairman Nick Politis is set to meet Walker’s father Ben in Queensland.

The Roosters have however reportedly given him informal permission to assess his value among rival clubs.

“It’s my understanding in the last three to four weeks, the Roosters actually gave Sam Walker’s manager informal permission to explore the market and see what Sam Walker’s worth and come back to them,” Chammas said.
“The Roosters are at about a million dollars for what they think Sam Walker is worth, I think there’s a bit of discrepancy between what the Walker camp think he’s worth and what the Roosters do.”

With the Roosters playing the Titans on Sunday and well and truly in the race for the premiership, Robinson wasn’t in the mood to discuss Walker’s contract on Friday.
“To be honest, I’ve said it each week, in the nicest possible way, I do not care at this point in time,” he said at his press conference.
“He knows exactly how I feel about him. I care about Sunday, that’s all I care about. We are really clear about how we want to play, week on week and all of those things are finished.
“There’s no more movement for us in the next six to eight weeks. I’d like it in eight weeks to get it done but for me I don’t care right now.”
Asked whether contract talks have been put on hold with Walker, Robinson replied “I’d say so” before clearing up his involvement in the negotiations.
“I’m not involved in the conversations there and therefore it’s just not in my line of sight,” he said.
“My line of sight is Sunday, it’s the session we’ve got tonight, it’s the players that are here right now. And so that’s all that I care about right now.”
